Case Study

Details
As Co-Founder, I have been involved in developing every detail of the brand and the business.
Bringing the brand to life
Both being branding professionals, this is where we started. We trademarked the name and the logo, refined the colour palette, and built the brand world around the heritage of the brand. The colours are a reflection of the environment; the logo features a water lily (Bangladesh's national symbol); and the typeface nods to the tika line across the top of Bengali and other Sanskrit-based languages. The minimal aesthetic of the design language is balanced with Scandinavian influences from Jesper's heritage.
Building the supply-chain
While the branding elements came naturally to us, product development was another ballpark entirely. I led our efforts on sourcing our production teams in Bangladesh and running the supply chain across shipments to London. We now have a 3PL partner in the UK who handles the picking, packing and posting of our products to our end customers.
We've only just started and the journey continues…
Developing a business in the background
With both of us having full time careers, House of Bengal has been a passion project that is growing daily and is a joy to run. From product photo shoots, to new collaborations on the horizon, we look forward to a slow and steady growth.
